Passover Almond Cake bw

After a long, cold winter, the last of the snow has finally melted, and we can say with confidence that spring has sprung here in South Dakota.  With the scent of new beginnings in the air, the Spring Feasts have arrived.  This evening, Passover starts, followed by the Days of Matzah, and then counting up to Shavuot.

This time of the year is not only exciting because new life begins everywhere in nature, but because our spiritual renewal is here as well.  As we look back toward the days when people of Israel were brought out of Egypt, we are also looking forward to the day when we will finally be brought out of our own personal Egypts and out of this decaying world. Baruch HaShem, that day is getting closer, so let’s celebrate our great deliverance and our Deliverer, our salvation and our Savior, the Lamb that was slain so that we could live!

Chag Pesach Sameach!

P.S. If you are wondering about the cake in that photo, let me tell you, it’s gluten-free and it is delicious. Recipe will be posted after Passover, so keep your eyes on this blog.
